After AI Starter

Without SpotDev

Personal accounts and no rules

People use whichever AI they found, on their own accounts, and nobody knows what data goes into it.

With SpotDev

One business workspace with written rules

Accounts the business controls, and a one-page policy on what can go in and what must be checked before it goes out.

Without SpotDev

Two enthusiasts, everyone else unsure

A couple of people use it every day. The rest tried it once and went back to the old way.

With SpotDev

Everyone has used it on their own work

Each person uses it on a real task in the first session, then on several days in the same week.

Without SpotDev

Every request written from scratch

The same requests are typed again and again, and the good ones live in one person's head.

With SpotDev

Three shared starter tools

The team's most frequent requests saved as shared assistants, projects or skills, each with an owner.

Without SpotDev

No idea whether it is worth it

Nobody can say who uses it, for what, or whether it saves any time.

With SpotDev

A review at day 30

Who is using it and for what, a before-and-after confidence survey, and a recommendation on what to do next.

What is included

One fixed price, agreed before we start. You pay your AI subscriptions directly to the vendor.

Your workspace, set up

Claude, ChatGPT or the AI in your HubSpot, configured with whoever approves accounts on a one-hour screen-share: business accounts, usage limits and a connection to your email or files where your plan supports it.

Rules people can follow

A one-page usage policy covering what can go in, what must be checked before it goes out, and who to ask.

Three live sessions on your own work

75 minutes each, a week apart, online with cameras on. Everyone brings a real task, and every session is recorded for anyone who misses it.

Three shared starter tools

Built with your team in the second session from their real examples: the requests they make most often, saved as shared assistants, projects or skills, each with a named owner.

Help between sessions

A shared Teams or Slack channel for four weeks, with questions answered within one working day.

A review at day 30

Who is using it and for what, a before-and-after confidence survey, and a one-page recommendation on what to do next.

How the four weeks run

  1. 01

    Week 0: intake and set-up

Each person names the three tasks that take most of their week. A 30-minute call agrees the tool and the rules, then we set up the workspace with your admin.

  2. 02

    Week 1: first session

Everyone uses AI on one of their own tasks, live, with the business owner on the call, then uses it on at least three different days that week.

  3. 03

    Week 2: starter tools

Together we turn the team's most frequent requests into three shared tools.

  4. 04

    Week 3: review and refine

We look at what worked, fix what did not, and name an owner for each tool.

  5. 05

    Day 30: review

Usage, the confidence survey and a recommendation on what comes next, in a 45-minute call.

Is it right for you?

Who AI Starter suits

Small businesses, and single teams inside larger ones, that want AI used properly without a long project.

Teams of up to 15

A whole small business, or one team inside a larger one. More people can join in extra groups of up to 15, at £1,000 a group.

The main business AI tools

Claude, ChatGPT, or the AI already in your HubSpot. If you have not chosen, we set out the differences for your team on the first call and recommend one.

No IT department needed

Someone who can approve accounts is enough. We do the set-up with them on a screen-share.

Fully remote

Every session is online and recorded, so there is no travel in the price and nobody needs to be in the same room.

What happens after AI Starter

Your team keeps everything we set up. Where you go next depends on what the day-30 review shows.

Keep going on your own

The workspace, the policy, the starter tools and the session recordings stay with you. Many teams need nothing more for a while.

Bring in more people

Extra groups of up to 15 go through the same three sessions for £1,000 a group.

Set up the whole business

AI Foundations (£8,000) adds single sign-on, roles, a knowledge base and training for up to 45 people. 20% of your AI Starter fee is credited if you commit within 30 days.

Build AI into a workflow

When one job is worth automating, Custom Agents (£20,000) builds an agent into your CRM or business systems, with approval rules and training.

Fixed price, £3,500

AI Starter is agreed before work starts and paid up front. Prices exclude VAT, and your AI subscriptions are billed to you by the vendor.

Common questions

What is AI Starter?

SpotDev AI Starter is a fixed-price, fully remote programme for a team of up to 15 people. We set up a business AI workspace, write a one-page usage policy, train everyone on their own work in three live online sessions, build three shared starter tools with them, and review how it is going at day 30.

How much does AI Starter cost?

£3,500 plus VAT for up to 15 people, paid up front. Extra groups of up to 15 cost £1,000 each. Your AI subscriptions are separate and billed to you by the vendor.

Is it all done remotely?

Yes. The set-up happens on a screen-share with your admin, the three sessions are live online calls, and support runs in a shared Teams or Slack channel. Every session is recorded.

Which AI tools do you set up?

Claude, ChatGPT or the AI already in your HubSpot, on a business plan your company controls. If you have not chosen, we recommend one for your team, and we will say when the AI you already pay for is enough.

What will the AI subscriptions cost?

You pay the vendor directly, usually per person per month, and the price depends on the plan. Our guide to Claude pricing in the UK sets out the current Claude plans, and we confirm the numbers for your team before set-up.

What happens to our data?

On their business plans, Anthropic and OpenAI do not train their models on your content by default. HubSpot does not let third-party AI providers train on your data, but it can use customer data to improve its own AI unless a Super Admin opts out, and we show you where that setting is. The usage policy we write sets out what can and cannot go in.

What do you need from us?

Someone who can approve accounts for a one-hour set-up call, 15 minutes from each person for the intake form, and three 75-minute sessions a week apart.

What if someone misses a session?

Every session is recorded, and the shared channel stays open for questions throughout the four weeks.

Do we need HubSpot?

No. AI Starter works with Claude or ChatGPT whatever systems you run. If you already use HubSpot, we will show you what its own AI can do before you pay for anything else.

What comes after AI Starter?

Many teams carry on by themselves. Others add more people in extra groups, set up the whole business with AI Foundations (with 20% of the AI Starter fee credited if they commit within 30 days), or build AI into a specific workflow with Custom Agents.
