How we got here
SpotDev started in 2022 building software for HubSpot customers. Two acquisitions and three AI partnerships later, we build AI and software into whatever systems a business runs.

We build to decide
It is usually cheaper to build the thing than to keep meeting about it. We build the smallest working version that lets you see it, test it and decide, then build the rest.
We say when not to build
Sometimes the right answer is the software you already pay for, a configuration change, or stopping something altogether. When it is, we tell you.
Our leaders stay on the work
Our leadership team stays connected to client delivery, so decisions about your project are made by people who know it first-hand.

Our mission is to make self-service work for every business and every customer: customers who can help themselves, and staff who no longer spend their day doing a system's job.
The people who run SpotDev
Our in-house team works fully remotely. Most of us are in the UK (Bath, Cheltenham, Bristol, Leeds, Sunderland, Cheshire and Wales), with engineers in South Africa and Romania and a designer in Italy. Every developer holds Claude Certified Developer: Foundations, and members of the team hold Codex credentials issued by the OpenAI Partner Network.

Where is SpotDev based?
We're a fully remote company with no office. Most of the team is in the UK, in Bath, Cheltenham, Bristol, Leeds, Sunderland, Cheshire and Wales, and we have team members in South Africa, Romania and Italy. We work mainly with UK and European businesses and meet clients in person where it helps.
Who do you work with?
UK businesses from around £3m in revenue upwards, from teams of 20 to organisations of 2,500 or more. Smaller teams usually start with AI Starter, and larger organisations move one department at a time through the AI Accelerator.
Do we need to use HubSpot?
Not for AI work or bespoke software. Our HubSpot services are for businesses with an active HubSpot subscription.
Which AI do you recommend?
Whichever fits the work, your existing systems and your obligations. We're partners with Anthropic, OpenAI and SpaceXSI and work with the AI built into HubSpot. Sometimes the answer is the AI you already pay for.
Is SpotDev a marketing agency?
No. Everything we deliver is engineering: AI agents, integrations, customer portals, websites and software, built by our own team.
Do you offer a delivery guarantee?
On some fixed-scope projects, yes: if we miss the agreed delivery date, you get 20% back. When we offer it, the engagement sets out the date, the scope it covers, what we need from you and how the refund works.
