About SpotDev
SpotDev is the software engineering firm for HubSpot customers. We build the custom software businesses need around HubSpot: integrations, customer portals, websites, data and AI.
We are a HubSpot Diamond partner with an in-house, fully remote engineering team, known for the well-engineered work that off-the-shelf setups and brittle middleware cannot do.
The role
The Junior Solutions Architect supports the design of client solutions across CRM, automation, integrations, websites, data flows and connected business systems. You will work closely with senior architects, learning how to turn business requirements into clear technical designs while owning well-defined pieces of the work yourself.
This is a role built for someone early in their technical career who thinks clearly, learns quickly and enjoys solving problems across systems. You will need either a degree in Computer Science, or a closely related field, or prior experience in a similar role. You do not need prior HubSpot experience or a services background; beyond that, curiosity, aptitude and a structured way of thinking matter most.
You will be mentored as you go, and take on more scope and complexity as you grow.
What you’ll do
- Support senior architects on the design of client solutions across CRM, automation, integrations, websites and related systems.
- Own well-defined parts of a solution design under guidance, and grow the scope you handle over time.
- Help capture requirements, constraints and dependencies in discovery sessions.
- Draft workflow logic, data structures and straightforward integration designs for review.
- Produce and maintain clear documentation for workflows, data mappings and handovers.
- Learn our tools, patterns and standards, and apply them consistently.
What we’re looking for
- Essential: either a degree in Computer Science, or a closely related field, or prior experience in a similar solutions, systems or technical implementation role.
- A logical, structured way of breaking problems down.
- The ability to pick up new tools and systems quickly.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- A genuine interest in how business systems connect, and the ambition to grow into a Solutions Architect.
Desirable, not essential
- Experience with HubSpot, or with other CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Dynamics.
- Experience with automation and integration tools such as Make, Workato or Pipedream.
- Experience with CMS platforms, websites or digital delivery.
- Familiarity with scalable architecture patterns, cloud-based systems and secure solution design.
- Experience in B2B environments spanning sales, marketing, service or the customer lifecycle.
